10/23/2008 AM with video message from Wynne!

Things continue to improve. Wynne continues to get stronger and to focus on recovery (while still making very funny jokes). There was a bit of movement in Wynne's left hand this morning which we are very excited about. According to Dr. Lebleu it means there is more movement to come.

Wynne agreed to make and attach a brief video which I could put on the blog. I used my laptop to make the video and you will probably notice that the program I used to make the video films things in reverse. So...while it appears that Wynne has a bit of right side weakness, it is actually her left side which was affected by the stroke and is in the process of coming back. The video is saved as a QuickTime file. If you do not have a QuickTime viewer, it is available as a free download (for Mac or PC) at the following address:

Thanks for your caring & support.

Dear Wynne,
Even though I have not sent a message before now, you have been in my thoughts and prayers daily. I want you to know that I am willing to help you and your family if there is anything I can do. I was so pleased to watch your video this evening. You are amazing. I plan to come visit you and bring Judy P. with me in the near future. Gary and I have been in California helping my 92 year-old mom pack up to move to Bryan and now we are busy helping her settle into the Carriage Inn.
Love, Judy H.

Wynne,
It was great to see you on video! Last time I saw you, you were asleep in ICU. 2 weeks later, now look at the fancy place you are in!!!
I hope to come today or this weekend to visit.

Wynne, it's wonderful to see you on video, especially since we can't be there in person. You are making amazing progress! We are so thankful for that - Love, Roz and Larry

Wynne,

It was good to see you yesterday. I really enjoyed our visit. I also enjoyed meeting your Mom. I can see where you get your charm and your beauty. I am so proud of you and pleased at the progress you are making. When you learn how to tie a fly maybe you can teach me.
Hang in there! I'll bring your "surprise" next time I come see you. Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to! Edith
